Facebook is what caused my son and his gf to break up. She didn't like that other women (who he had no interest in) who were casual friends from school were contacting him, so she insisted he delete his Facebook account. That is what broke them up. The OPs bf is right to be concerned, because Facebook is responsible for the breakup of many marriages and many relationships.
